Listen up high school juniors and seniors: November is National Scholarship Month! This month has a special emphasis to research and learn more about scholarships out there. Talk to your counselors to learn more about what help is available for you! #pcssdproud #serveall

Sophomores win week one! Keep up the good work.

SHHS students are out in full force today: visiting nursing homes, schools, parks, communities, and so much more to help clean up, paint, tutor, and lend a helping hand! What a great opportunity for all!

Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour when you go to bed tonight. Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. - meaning you "gain" an hour of sleep. There are only two states that don't observe DST: Hawaii and Arizona (with the exception of Navajo Nation). #pcssdproud #serveall

Register for the ACT TODAY and get a free test down the road! Final deadline, November 17th. Hurry! BOGO sounds good!

ICYMI: It's never too cold for Kona Ice! Last week students were able to spend their Bear Bucks (positive points earned for meeting school-wide expectations) to enjoy a treat! What a delicious thank you for attendance, grades, MAP goals, and more! #pbispresents

It's the final week of the regular season! Good luck ROBINSON and SYLVAN HILLS HIGH on the road, while MAUMELLE and MILLS UNIVERSITY STUDIES HIGH aim to protect the home turf. Let's end the season on a high note! Livestream available: https://trst.in/gktbpl #pcssdproud #serveall

It's never too early to plan! We are 364 days away from Halloween '24. Our Choir put on a great show at the "Haunted House on the Hillside" this year for the 2nd year. Look for them to be back again in 2024!

November is National Military Family Month, a recognition first established in 1996. Since then, November is a time to acknowledge the tremendous sacrifices our military families make. Thank you, military families, for your dedication and service. #pcssdproud #serveall

Today is celebrated as the Day of the Dead (el Día de los Muertos). This is a widely recognized Mexican holiday where families welcome back the souls of their deceased relatives for a brief reunion that includes food, drink and celebration. #pcssdproud #serveall

Students from Student Council visited Willow Grove for Halloween and delivered cards. What a special event for our students and community. Go Bears!

Congratulations to our Perfect Attendance Drawing winners! Each of these students received a $20 gas card to help them fill up the tank and get to school on time! Look for more PBIS Attendance Drawings in November.

As part of the unit of study for our ELD classes, “Wonders of the U.S.," students visited Pettit Jean State Park. They toured the Rock House Cave and the Cedar Falls Overlook. The tour included important vocabulary and provided a great context for the unit of study.

Reminder: there is no school tomorrow for students. Teachers have a professional development day. District offices will be open. School will resume on Thursday, November 2. #pcssdproud #serveall

Happy Halloween! Did you know: Halloween originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. What kind of costume will you be wearing tonight (to ward off ghosts, of course 👻)? #pcssdproud #serveall

Thank you, @UAPB! Last week several AVID Juniors and Seniors were able to talk to UAPB about the programs and opportunities offered on campus.
